Description

This is my first target since redoing my pier to a Pier-tech clone and pouring 600 lbs of concrete, re-greasing my mount, redoing my worm mesh, and getting my new camera. I traded out my Orion Thin Off Axis Guider for a genuine SBIG OAG due to the latter's incompatibility with my imaging train. The image was caught on Thursday night during a period of clear skies... it was definitely not optimum for imaging but I really wanted to see if my mount was squared away again. Per PI's SubframeSelector, the eccentricity values are now around .3 to .5 for 97% of my images. So, I think the improvements from swapping out my wooden pier were justified. In addition, my RMS values in PHD2 were significantly improved thanks to my mount 'redo'. It took two weeks and I missed out on some wonderful clear skies during that period, but I think it was worth it.
