NGC 6334, also known as the Cat's Paw Nebula, is a vast region of massive star formation in our galaxy, located in the direction of the constellation Scorpio, about 55,000 light years away and estimated length of 50 light years.

At the bottom of the image, a clear bubble is thought to be caused by a Wolf-Rayet star, in the final phase of evolution that has been losing mass due to the action of the solar wind; another explanation relates to the fact that it may be a remnant of a recent supernova.

Within a short distance of this beautiful object, stands the NGC 6357 – The Lobster Nebula, also a nursery star, displaying elegant structures that result from interactions between stellar winds, magnetic fields, radiation pressure and gravitation.
